NovaCore Studios LLC built the ScreenON (also referred to as Caffeine) app as an Ad-Supported/Freemium app. This SERVICE is provided by NovaCore Studios LLC at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service. ScreenON is designed with a privacy-first approach, meaning the core functionality operates entirely locally on your device without the need for remote servers or user accounts.
Usage Stats Access (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS)
ScreenON requires the "Usage Access" (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) permission to enable its AppWake feature. This feature automatically keeps the screen turned ON while any of your selected applications are running in the foreground.
Important Privacy Disclosure: We do NOT collect, store, upload, or share any information about the apps you use or how long you use them. The Usage Access permission is processed entirely locally on your device to read the package name of the currently active foreground app and compare it against your local AppWake selection list. No usage data ever leaves your device.
System Alert Window Overlay (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)
ScreenON utilizes the Screen Overlay (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) permission to power its Dimmed Awake feature. When active, this feature displays a transparent black overlay with a digital clock over other applications to lower pixel brightness, protect your screen from OLED burn-in, and save battery while keeping the screen awake.
Important Privacy Disclosure: We do NOT use this permission to intercept, monitor, or read screen contents or user interactions. It is exclusively used to draw a visual overlay element locally on your screen.
Foreground Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE)
To ensure that your screen remains awake reliably without being unexpectedly terminated by the operating system, ScreenON uses a Foreground Service. This service is represented by a persistent notification in your status bar, which also serves as a control panel to easily toggle the keep-awake service on or off.
Battery Optimization Exemption (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS)
The app requests to be exempted from Android's system battery optimization to prevent the operating system from terminating the background keep-awake service during passive activities. This is processed entirely locally on the device.
Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK)
This permission is used to prevent the processor from sleeping or the screen from dimming when a user-activated keep-awake duration is active.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
We require this permission to post the persistent control notification in the status bar, which is necessary for foreground service compliance on modern Android versions.
Third-Party Services & Advertising
We use third-party services, such as Google AdMob, to display advertisements within the app to keep it free. These services may collect certain device information and advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID) to provide personalized ads and for analytics purposes.

Data Retention and Deletion
Because ScreenON does not require user registration or cloud synchronization, all your app preferences, lists of selected AppWake apps, and settings are stored locally on your device's internal storage. If you wish to delete all your data, simply uninstall the ScreenON application or clear the app's data from your Android device settings.
Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
